ORGANIZATIONS
There are several student clubs and organizations at Indiana University Kokomo. These provide opportunities for involvement, leadership, community service, and mentoring. A complete list may be obtained through the Office of Student Activities.

In addition, many professional associations for educators encourage pre-service teachers to consider membership. One local example is the Kokomo Area Reading Council (KARC), which is affiliated with the Indiana State Reading Association. Students may contact Charlotte Miller for information.
Education students may include artifacts from organizational participation in their Teacher Portfolio. These types of artifacts apply most often to Metastandard #6: Professionalism/Learning Communities and/or Metastandard #7: Community Involvement.
