The IU Kokomo Observatory houses a new computer-controlled 16-inch Meade telescope with a Takahashi 6-inch refractor mounted on top. The observatory, which features a shutter system in the heated dome with a special ground-glass window installed over the viewing slot, is used by students in astronomy and physical sciences courses, by the Kokomo Astronomy Club, and by school and community groups.
