Scott Jones

Biography

Scott Jones is Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and a Professor of English. He founded the New Media Communication degree program. His research on topics such as web design and workplace writing has been published in international journals, he has given more than 40 presentations at conferences, and he was named an AT&T Fellow in 2006. He has more than 20 years of experience teaching at the college level, having taught at Purdue University and Cornell University before starting at Indiana University Kokomo in 2002. In 2012 he was named to FACET, Indiana University's organization for faculty committed to excellence in teaching, and in 2013 won IU Kokomo's Claude Rich Excellence in Teaching Award. He was Dean of the School of Humanities of Social Sciences from 2012-2017.
